Sudoku?

Something I have recently picked back up are sudoku puzzles.  If you don't know what a sudoku puzzle is then I will tell you...there are 9 sections in a square...each section has 9 smaller squares...some of these squares have numbers.  The numbers used for this puzzle type are 1-9.  Each section has to have 1-9 and all rows across and down must have 1-9 and none of the sections or rows can have 2 of the same number.

I burned myself out on these puzzles a few years ago while I was recovering from my kidney donor surgery.  I was doing them back to back and just got tired of it.  But now I limit myself to 1 puzzle per day and I am doing the one in my local paper, which I have a subscription to.  Some days I can do it rather quickly, albeit those are the easier ones.  As the week goes on the puzzles become more difficult with the Sunday puzzle being the most difficult.  Some days I get the tough ones and some days I end up with a big X across the puzzle.  The big X means I messed up so bad that I have no clue where to go back and fix it.

I have found that I really enjoy doing these puzzles because it forces me to use my brain for more than just the redundant day to day things I am use to.  I also feel pretty relaxed while doing them, almost like I am in another place at the time.  There are times that I have to put it down and come back to it later in the day and usually by doing that when I reattach myself to the puzzle I see things that I missed previously.  Ahhh...my brain does need a break from the break.

What do you enjoy doing to de-stress?
